Earn a Master’s in Accounting Online

Now is an excellent time to earn an online master’s degree in accounting. In the aftermath of high-profile accounting scandals, businesses, government agencies, and non-profit organizations are especially motivated to hire well-certified accountants. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job outlook for masters of accountancy is especially favorable.

  • Auburn University offers five online master’s degree programs in business, including a Master of Accountancy. Distance learners are required to complete five days on campus in Auburn, Alabama toward the end of the program.
  • The Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry University offers an online master’s in Accounting and Financial Management. Keller students may add a professional designation — Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) — to their Master of Accounting and Financial Management degrees.
  • Florida State University’s online MBA program takes 28 months to complete. Students who live in the area can complement their online MBA by taking graduate “flex classes” in accounting on campus.
